01. Start with the task, not a model number.

Plastic joining, metal wire splicing, tube sealing and food cutting require different equipment and tooling. Define the process and workpiece before comparing machines.

02. Compare complete configurations.

Frequency, power, stroke and tooling should be assessed together. A higher power rating alone does not establish that one system is a better fit for a particular part.

03. Match components as a system.

For a generator or transducer replacement, confirm frequency, capacitance, electrical connector and mechanical joint dimensions. Matching only the nominal frequency is not enough.

04. Plan the production environment.

Provide available power supply, compressed-air conditions, floor space and automation interfaces. For cutting systems, also describe product texture, dimensions, portion shapes and target output.

05. Confirm the part and tooling before ordering.

Share drawings or representative samples and define acceptance criteria with engineering. Confirm the exact model, tooling, interfaces and expected process performance for your project.

Does a higher frequency always mean a better result?+

No. Frequency is one part of the equipment and tooling configuration. Select it together with the material, geometry and process requirements.

What is the difference between a generator, transducer and horn?+

The generator supplies a high-frequency electrical signal. The transducer converts electrical energy into mechanical vibration. The horn or cutting blade transfers that vibration to the workpiece.

Can specifications alone confirm application suitability?+

No. The workpiece, tooling and operating conditions must also be assessed. Use specifications to shortlist equipment, then confirm the application with engineering.
